Shipping and Policies
Shipping: All tubers will ship in April once freezing temperatures have passed in your region. You can email hiddenwellgardens@gmail.com to request an earlier shipping date (at your own risk).
We are unable to ship internationally.
Shipping Rates:
1 to 3 tubers= $11.00
4 to 20 tubers = $20.00
21+ tubers = $26.00
LOCAL PICKUP In-person order pickup is available free of charge. To pick up your order here at the farm please choose the “pickup” option at checkout. Farm pickup will be available at Hidden Well Gardens in Tacoma, WA. You will receive an email with the details when your order is ready to pick up. Our address will be included as part of your confirmation email.
Cart: An item placed in your cart will not guarantee your purchase until you checkout and receive an order confirmation number. Items in your cart are not reserved until check out is completed and may automatically get removed if sold prior to you completing checkout. This is an issue which is beyond our control and determined by the web platform.
Once an order is placed, we are unable to add or subtract items. If you would like to add any additional items, please submit an additional order.
Combining Orders: We are offering combining orders by request only. Send an email to hiddenwellgardens@gmail.com and include all of the order numbers you would like combined. We will refund your excess shipping costs, minus one $5 processing fee. Please note, this takes a lot of time on our end, so please stay patient with us.
Substitutions and Cancellations: All sales are final and there are no cancellations. If there is a stock loss, we will refund your order or let you know if there is a possibility of substituting for a different variety. We will not substitute without your permission.
Refund Policy: Our tubers are sold as single tubers and tuber sizes will vary depending on variety. We guarantee you will receive a viable tuber true to variety, with an eye and healthy neck. Please examine your order immediately upon arrival and contact us via email (not social media) within 7 days if you see an issue with your order. After that 7 days the buyer accepts full responsibility for the tuber as we cannot be held responsible for improper storage, weather, growing conditions, pest damage, plant performance, failure to thrive or negligence. In case of incorrect identification or failure to grow due to there being no eye, we will replace your tuber or give you a refund. We want to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
Dahlia Virus
We care about quality; All stock has been inspected by the WA State Department of Agriculture during the growing season; we are a licensed nursery with the state of Washington. We have passed our inspection and will be including the verification label on your invoice. We follow all the American Dahlia Society recommendations to help control disease in Dahlias.
We take viruses very seriously and go to great lengths to keep our stock as healthy as possible. We examine our plants closely, and cull anything suspicious. We have robust virus-specific sanitization practices between every plant, every time. This includes cutting flowers, taking down plants in the fall, and during tuber division.
Unfortunately, virus is very common in dahlia gardens, with the American Dahlia Society reporting that 87% of dahlias that appear completely normal and healthy are actually infected with at least one virus. This means it is impossible to consistently diagnose virus symptoms without testing, and a plant that looked completely healthy one year, may start showing symptoms the next.
We will continue our efforts to minimize dahlia virus in our operation but please understand that dahlia viruses are common and often present with little to no symptoms. We cannot guarantee that every plant is free from virus.
